Oakland Presbyterian Church’s Mission Team reached out to the community and identified three priority areas for our call to serve focus – food insecurity, displaced/homeless people and the students and staff of our schools. Our objective in these areas are to serve others as God instructs us to help the most underserved and in need, combine our collective efforts with other area partners to support existing programs while learning from their experience to plan for our own programs (i.e. food pantry) and provide opportunities for Oakland’s congregation to participate and contribute to these causes in a meaningful way.
